Womb Workshops

During her solo exposition "Coming Home: a Homage to the Womb" in Cafca Oudegracht, Tara offered Womb Workshops. Participants were invited into a safe space that represented the Cosmic Womb, being guided through a meditative yoga practice. The workshop offered an imagined "rebirth", finishing with the creation of a big painting in a circle. The experience fostered a sense of joyful creative freedom and generated trust in being part of the human family.
 

“We were gently invited to sink back into the womb, our own most pure, intimate, visceral self. I felt very held and safe in the space we co-created. We slowly emerged “back to life” and were invited to express anything we wished by painting on a big shared canvas. I was fascinated by how everyone’s expression came together in one beautiful and organic piece. I feel grateful for Tara’s presence and caring guidance through this refreshing and heart-nourishing experience.”

Tara expresses gratitude for owner of café Cafca, Dirk, who offered her to use the building for her solo exposition and workshops. Dirk's encouragement and free spirit allowed Tara to turn the space into a Wombful Sanctuary.
