Womb Rituals

Tara’s interdisciplinary art project returns to the essence of being human. We were born into our mothers uterus, bathing in her blood. From a dark mystical space of nothingness, we emerged. Our mother’s warm womb was where our body came to exist. Her vagina was our portal into the world as we know it now.

The female menstrual cycle allows for the growth of new life. Alike ancient traditions worldwide, Tara considers menstruation blood as a sacred fluid. Intimate, natural and raw, it emerges as a gift from nature. These Womb Rituals are a healing practice for Tara, connecting to spirit and to mother earth, Pachamama. Sharing her art is an act of activism and an example of empowered feminine expression. The invitation is to break free from masks and limitations, opening the space for authentic relating and sparking curiosity about our true nature.

In 2022 these works were exhibited at two group expositions in Spain. In September 2023 Tara presented "Coming Home: a Homage to the Womb", an engaging solo exposition with 300+ visitors in the heart of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
